Dr. Andreas Andreou,  the founder of the ULTRASOUND DIAGNOSTIC CENTER, obtained his specialty title in radiology at the ACHEPA hospital in Thessaloniki after earning his medical degree from the Academy of Medical Sciences in Moscow.

With many years of experience as the head of the radiology laboratories in the main hospitals of Paphos, "Agios Georgios" and "Evangelismos", he is a respected figure in the radiology community throughout Cyprus and Europe, being an active member of the Radiological Society of Cyprus (AEK) and in European Radiological Societies such as the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) and the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR).

The Ultrasound Diagnostic Center is equipped with the latest type of ultrasound machine, GE's LOGIC E10, one of the leading ultrasound machines in the world at the moment.

The machine (LOGIC E10) is the only one in Paphos that offers the possibility of performing elastography.

Εlastography is a non-invasive technique that measures the elasticity of tissues that is directly related to their histological composition and thus allows us to distinguish a tissue whether it is soft and potentially benign or hard and potentially malignant.

Elastography also has played an important role in the diagnosis and monitoring of patients with fatty infiltration in recent years and is the best studied technique for assessing hepatic fibrosis .
