Our history begins in 1968, with the foundation of the D&A CHARALAMBOUS (FROZEN FOODS) LTD Company. Dimitris and Avgi Charalambous two ambitious people run a small capacity coldstores as a sole trader conducting the business of importing, handling and distributing of frozen foods.
In 1989, Pambos Charalambous the son of Dimitris and Avgis Charalambous joined the company by extending the strategy and philosophy of D&A CHARALAMBOUS (FROZEN FOODS) LTD. Introducing an extensive variety of quality brands of the finest produce sourced from leading suppliers across the globe in the Cyprus market. The company now is a leading wholesaler importer and distributor of frozen foods to the Cypriot market and in 1990 became a registered limited company.
In 2006, the second son of the family Lakis Charalambous joined the company enriching the range of its products of chilled, frozen, and ambient foods such as meat, poultry, seafood, vegetables, dairy, finger foods, desserts, canned foods, pastas, sauces and much more. The company grew rapidly and, in order to meet the demands of modern business, it begun an active and ongoing strategy of growth and modernization. This practice continues to the present day. It has invested heavily in the purchase of modern storage and freezer facilities and now commands storage facilities. Now command a leading position within the local market and our client base is composed of a wide range of subsidiaries, wholesalers, leading hotel chains, restaurants, supermarkets, government organizations, and tourist villages in the island.
D&A CHARALAMBOUS FOODS is our own retail chain food shops, and is one of Cyprus’s fastest-growing, modernized, and most innovative retailer stores in the island.
